WHAT IS THE LETTER WRITING PROCESS?
You can send a letter to your sponsor child at any time by email ([email protected]). Every letter you send will get a response. Each student, from 2nd grade to 9th grade, write their letters by themselves. Of course we are there to help and offer suggestions but the ideas and sentiments come from the kids and the letters are always written by their hand. Younger children dictate their letters and it is written out by a sponsorship worker. A lot of effort goes into these letters and they love to receive letters from you in response.
HOW CAN I GIVE MY SPONSOR CHILD A BIRTHDAY PRESENT?
Many sponsors have asked how they can give their sponsor child a birthday gift.
1. You can send a donation to MSC (Canadian residents) or CMML (USA residents) with a note directing the funds to “(Name of your sponsor child) – Hope of Bastion Birthday Gift,” and we will buy a gift on your behalf here in Ecuador. (Please do not mail actual birthday gifts to MSC or CMML)

2. Currently we do not recommend sending gifts or parcels directly to Ecuador, however, you can email us to find out if there are any visitors coming with space to bring something.
WHAT IS A PRE-AUTHORIZED DONATION?
A pre-authorized donation (PAD) allows your bank to transfer a specific amount from your bank account each month to make a charitable contribution towards MSC or CMML who will process the amount and forward it to Hope of Bastion School in Ecuador.
WHEN ARE PADS RECEIPTED?
PADs are receipted at the year-end unless you specify otherwise.
